  • Overview

    The Operations Manager will collaborate with the Deputy Director for Concerned Veterans for America (CVA) to facilitate operations, manage projects, support key initiatives. Concerned Veterans for America, a project of Americans for Prosperity, advocates for policies that will preserve the freedom and prosperity that veterans and their families fought and sacrificed to defend.


    • Develop a comprehensive approach to CVA and CVA Foundation (CVAF) operations, including but not limited to process implementation, internal communications, and knowledge management.
    • Work with CVA and CVAF leadership to maintain progress and visibility of core organizational initiatives with an emphasis on key performance indicators.
    • Serve as overall project manager in partnership with CVA and CVAF project owners to develop, launch, and manage programs or events.
    • Act as “Controller” for weekly CVA Operations & Information forums.
    • Serve as an operations connection point to grassroots staff.
    • Liaise with AFP and FPSS partners to maintain regular and clear lines of communication.
    • Support or represent CVA and CVAF at events when required.
    • Spearhead special projects as necessary.


    • 3-5 years’ experience in administration, operations, or project management.
    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in political science, communications, business or related fields is preferred but not required.
    • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time and work flexible hours.
    • Competence in technology and software tools including comprehensive skills in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Strong oral and written communications skills.
    • Strong problem-solving skills.
    • Military experience preferred.
    • Motivated self-starter capable of setting priorities and following through on deadlines.
    • Organized and committed to excellence.
    • Appreciation for free market ideals and principles of limited government.
