  • Overview

    The Operations Manager will assist the State Director with day-to-day chapter operations and administrative requirements.  The Operations Manager will work directly with the Deputy State Director to drive strategy and performance of field activities.  The ideal candidate will have a background in grassroots advocacy, logistics, and management and will have strong experience with communications.



    • Manage office lease and support the field with office logistics 
    • Work with Data, assist Grassroots Director in development of scripts, assist field with portal issues, and assist field with tech
    • Daily Media/Policy updates to the state field staff
    • Assist field with creating Eventbrite and new tool coming online
    • Travel to provide logistical support at events
    • Coordinate with staff to ensure proper coding of expenses
    • Assist with maintaining social media posts in coordination with state leadership and our communications capability
    • Facilitate 360 reviews by contacting contributors and collecting information for the supervisor
    • Manage short and long term projects that benefit the chapter as prescribed. Examples include, but are not limited to:
      • Develop an internal state report that aggregates all activity reports into one
      • Develop an in-state on-boarding program in coordination with State Leadership
      • Develop MBM in-state training series and staff meetings in coordination with State Director



    • Management experience, key in driving culture and performance
    • Experience with grassroots operations and/or event logistics
    • Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral
    • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills
    • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively with state and national staff, in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, environment
    • Willingness to perform all duties as listed and any other duties assigned
    • Willingness to travel for in and out of state
    • Proven ability to work remotely and in an office environment
    • Competency with Microsoft Office Suite
    • Competency with learning new operations systems
    • Integrity, humility, and an entrepreneurial attitude
