  • Overview

    Working in the state of Colorado as a member of the Bridge to Wellbeing (BTWB) team, the Outreach Director (OD) will work to educate and engage communities by changing hearts and minds of people to recognize the potential intersection of freedom in their lives and the communities they live in. Working alongside local partner organizations, the OD will utilize events, programming, community outreach and other creative means to change hearts and minds through knowledge and skill based programs that give individuals more opportunities to move towards self-sufficiency, help community members break down their internal barriers and have a greater understanding of the benefits of a free and open society. The OD will create opportunities for individuals to engage their community through additional education and volunteer opportunities. The OD should have a firm commitment to the principles of freedom that lead to the greatest prosperity and wellbeing for all – especially the least fortunate. 


    • Develop and execute strategic plan for specified region alongside appropriate State Directors
    • Represent BTWB in designated region to identify and build relationships with potential partner organizations for the BTWB program
    • Train state chapter staff to effectively plan and execute BTWB events
    • Plan and execute BTWB programs within specified region
    • Communicate the message of the BTWB program to potential partners and event attendees
    • Maintain brand quality of all events, speakers, and activities within specified region
    • Chronicle and communicate achievements, feedback, and challenge with supervisor
    • Develop volunteer opportunities for activists within BTWB partner organizations
    • Recruit and vet speakers for BTWB programs with demonstrated subject matter expertise and commitment to advocating for a free society
    • Develop and maintain strong relationship with State Director and state chapter staff in specified region
    • Maintain data integrity of all activity information – event, attendees, partner organizations, speakers
    • Complete all administrative tasks in a timely manner
    • Further the culture of AFPF by learning the organization’s guiding principles and act with 100% integrity and compliance 100% of the time.


    • Must have experience with grassroots operations and/or event planning with demonstrated results
    • Understanding of free market principles and the ability to apply and communicate those principals to event attendees, and partner organizations
    • Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral
    • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills and ability to exhibit principled entrepreneurship
    • Spanish proficiency preferred but not required
    • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively with state and national staff, in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
    • Willingness to perform all duties as listed and any other duties assigned
    • Willingness to travel for day and overnight trips in and out of state between 40-70% of the time, occasionally on weekends
    • Proven ability to work remotely and in an office environment
    • Competency with Microsoft Office Suite, Keynote, Skype
    • Competency with PC or Mac computers
