Senior Outreach Director

Managing a region for the Bridge to Wellbeing program (BTWB), the Sr. Outreach Director will empower the Outreach Directors in their region to change communities by changing hearts and minds of people to recognize the potential intersection of freedom in their lives and the communities they live in. Working alongside other Sr. Outreach Directors and the Bridge leadership team, the Sr. OD will be a part of creating and driving strategy for the program. They will work with the Outreach Directors and State Directors to create a strategic plan for each state they manage and drive performance among their team.


The Sr. OD should have a firm commitment to the principles of freedom that lead to the greatest prosperity and wellbeing for all – especially the least fortunate.


  • Develop and execute strategic plan for specified region alongside appropriate State Director
  • Manage a team of 5-8 Outreach Directors
  • Work with Bridge leadership to develop metrics for the team and drive performance among their region
  • Maintain brand quality of all events, speakers, and activities within specified region
  • Identify needs and opportunities to accomplish the goals of BTWB program
  • Chronicle and communicate achievements, feedback, and challenge with supervisor
  • Develop and maintain strong relationship with State Director and state chapter staff in specified region
  • Act with integrity and compliance 10,000% of the time and further the culture of AFP through the organization’s Guiding Principles


  • Proven management experience
  • Must have previous experience designing and executing strategic plans
  • Must have experience with grassroots operations and/or event planning with demonstrated results
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively with state and national staff, in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Willingness to perform all duties as listed and any other duties assigned
  • Willingness to travel for day and overnight trips in and out of state between 40-70% of the time, occasionally on weekends
  • Proven ability to work remotely and in an office environment
  • Competency with Microsoft Office Suite, Keynote, Skype
  • Competency with PC or Mac computers
  • Exhibited integrity, humility, and an entrepreneurial attitude
  • A positive attitude and an earnest interest in providing good customer service to our members, partners, and all state chapters
  • A firm commitment to advancing every individual’s right to economic freedom and opportunity through free markets
  • Must have valid driver’s license and insurance
