Overview

The Nebraska State Intern in the Lincoln, NE Office is a part-time employee for the Fall who will assist in volunteer recruitment, recruit for grassroots educational classes, and assist with other grassroots activities. Activities will include, but are not limited to, canvassing designated geographical areas, building relationships with prospective community activists and leaders, and engaging the citizenry regarding the merits of economic freedom and policies that promote individual well-being consistent with the respective missions of Americans for Prosperity Foundation (AFPF) and its sister organization, Americans for Prosperity (AFP).

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with members of the community receptive to the missions of both AFPF and AFP.
  • Engage the citizenry regarding the merits of economic freedom and policies that promote individual well-being.
  • Attend trainings, education and discussion groups each week.
  • Assist with AFP on-campus presentations and networking at local college campus.
  • Assist Field Directors and other AFPF staff with local events from advance work to set up to breakdown.
  • Recruit individuals for Grassroots Leadership educational certification classes

  • Strong customer focus, communication skills, and desire to collaborate with other designers.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to learn new techniques quickly and take on new challenges.
  • Be able to work 15-20 hours per week
